I’m on a huge shiplap kick. It’s cheap and SUPER easy to install if you’re a do-it-yourselfer. I had a bit of help from my awesome hubby and my ex (who happened to be living with us during Christmas break while he was home from his traveling work schedule).
Here’s the before picture of my fireplace. We had originally thought we’d do a white stacked stone tile… But I changed my mind when I realized it would be a ton of work and really expensive.

So we (they) began the climb to the ceiling!

PS. If you don’t have a battery operated nail gun. GET ONE! It made this project a breeze!

I purchased the Samsung Frame TV so that the TV would look more like artwork on the wall, rather than a TV. The TV comes with a box that the TV plugs in to, so we cut a hole in the wall and built a shelf to set the box in so that all cords would be hidden behind the TV. We already had an outlet in there, so that didn’t need installed, which made this project pretty easy!

I used corner trim to finish off the edges and filled my nail holes a put a few coats of paint on it.

FINISHED PRODUCT!! This whole project took only about 6 hours, max. I am so obsessed with how it turned out. It really modernized the fireplace and I love how the TV looks.
